3 Must Have Jeans

Hello, beautiful! I hope this post sees you well. Not going to lie to you I am feeling real motivated this week, I have some awesomeness in the works for you & I cannot wait to spill the beans. Anyway today we are breaking down the 3 must have jeans for your wardrobe. Maybe all three styles won't work for your body but I guarantee one maybe even two will. (If the short curvy girl can pull off all 3 so can you)

The Skinny Jean

I don't care if the magazines are saying that skinny jean is going out or not. In fashion there are no rules & to me skinny jean is a necessity. To balance long flowing tops & tunics a slim pant is needed on the bottom.  These skinny beauties are great to tuck into boots.

The Bootcut

The bootcut/wide leg jeans are making a comeback baby. Personally, I totally dig them. These flared finds give shape to those with a more narrow rectangular body shape. The bootcut also plays up curves. Perfectly pair with pumps, heeled booties, & clogs.

The Boyfriend Jean

The boyfriend jean is a more relaxed fit than the skinny. Instead of the skinny slim fit the boyfriend is a straight leg allowing for more give. The boyfriend is a great option for those that aren't comfortable with the skinny jean. Dress down your boyfriend jeans with sneaks as pictured or dress them up with a fitted top & pumps!

You may have noticed that two out of three of my jeans are cuffed. I like to show a little ankle not to mention I am 5'2. Petite girls I suggest getting short or petite jeans when available. For my fash dolls that are vertically blessed look for long or tall jeans, they will have your additional length. Jeans come in different kinds of washes as well: white, light wash, dark wash, medium wash, the list goes on. I suggest dark was because the color typically lasts longer.

Well fash dolls that is all I got for you today. Want to see something specific? Feel free to reach out on social media >instagram & snapchat @fashology< >twitter @fashology101<.

Stay sassy & God Bless!

Baby It's Cold Outside

With the abnormal and unpredictable weather of New England maybe it isn't so cold outside but, it is certainly coming. Last January a gal was laying out soaking up the Santa Monica sun just to take a red eye home to Boston. When arrived the stewardess relayed to the girl that her flight was the only flight to make it in. This female just came home to a killer snow storm.

That girl was me and there was no way this winter that I would risk surviving with a mere pea coat. I have been on a mission for a jacket like the one pictured, literally for two winter seasons. One day I found myself out shopping with my mother and sister. I had stumbled upon this DKNY gem at T.J. Maxx. All the coats like this  I had seen up untill this point were retailing between $300-$400. You bet your bottom dollar I got this beauty for $99.99. If you live in a cold weather climate a jacket is a necessity worth investing in. This would even make a great holiday gift for someone on your Christmas list this year!

Well dolls till next time, happy shopping!

Stay Sassy + God Bless xo

When a backpack comes to mind the first thing that crosses ones mind is a school bag filled with books, binders, and pens. One of the hottest trends that is here to stay is the backpack. They are no longer just an item for school kids but, a fabulous and functional accessory for the ladies. They are a great update to a handbag and allow for hands free adventuring. I am smitten with this bag, the wolfepack by Gina deWolfe. This Boston designer hand crafts each piece out of genuine leather hides. The style is minimalistic making it versatile piece with impeccable quality. The wolfepack is an investment piece that is a wardrobe addition made to last. This bag will add instant chic to any ensemble.

I paired the wolfepack with this asymmetric dress, studded boots, and a faux leather jacket. I can't bring myself to wear tights just yet. This dress is flattering to my shape and these boots are my favorite. The combination of the wolfepack and boots adds edge to this look.

Feel free to check out Gina deWolfe's website and get a wolfepack of your own, you won't regret it! If you want to dip your toes into the backpack trend search for one that suits you, they are out there. But like I said this one is hard to pass up! Whatever you add to your wardrobe make sure it fits your style personality, lifestyle, and budget. Keep in mind that any good handbag is an investment and with any purchase make sure you will be getting a good cost per wear. Till next week dolls. Happy shopping!

What does the Faux say?

What does the fox say? Ring-ding-ding-ding-dingeringeding! I remember listening to this song for the first time and having a hard time breathing because I was laughing so hard. Here at Fashology faux says fabulous! My fall fashion risk featured a faux fur vest, my latest winter obsession is this faux leather skirt (I own it in 2 colors). Paired with this flannel, tights, pearls, and booties this ensemble exudes an edgy yet feminine look. Although this skirt looks effortless searching for it was not. You know that phrase "when you stop looking it will happen" well that held true when I picked up this piece. I was looking literally everywhere for the ideal faux leather skirt and I wasn't impressed with what I was finding. Finding something faux whether it be leather or fur can be difficult because it can easily look like poor quality. I actually stumbled upon this gem at Kohl's while helping a friend look for new additions to her wardrobe. This skirt is by LC Lauren Conrad's collection and only cost $15.00. The faux leather skirt is a modern day closet must have. This piece is versatile, as shown I wore this to work and then to a family Christmas party the same day. I also packed it for a night out with the girls when I went to California, ditch the tights throw on a crop top and strappy heels with a clutch. The faux leather skirt is a new twist on a wardrobe classic. When shopping for your faux leather make sure the fabric is of good quality and fits your fashion personality! Till next time.

P.S. On the same shopping trip I found these awesome booties Simply Vera by Vera Wang also at Kohl's, not somewhere I typically shop but I scored.
