Hello, babes! I hope you had a fabulous week. For me it has been a productive one now that my body is back to this time zone. I’m also super excited for tomorrow, Saturday October 13th because we are celebrating our 4th blogiverarsy (an anniversary but for a blog) at Sloane & Ivy ! We hope to see you there!
Enough of the public service announcements, am I right?! I brought you all here today to teach you a fun way to take your summer skirts through fall. I bought this skirt at Evereve at the end of the summer season for my trip to Portugal. I just love it so much I’m trying to get more wear out of it. I’m sure you have bought something at the end of season for next year but want to squeeze in a couple more wears before you have to pack away with your “summer clothes”.
The first step in carrying any summer item into fall is adding a layer whether it be a bomber jacket, blazer, denim jacket, etc. The second more unexpected way is to add a fishnet sock! I am seriously loving these ones by Berkshire Legs you can get a pair here at Bare Necessities. They are only $6 so a fashion risk that you can try without breaking the bank.
I completed this look with my Vans & a tee! Personally, I’m a sucker for pattern play. These white/black stripes work with the floral because the colors are also in the pattern of the skirt. I’m sure some of you my find this outfit a little edgy or busy. That’s fine! The idea is to glean inspiration . You could be inspired to try fishnet socks or to mix patterns or to pull out your favorite summer skirt again! I’m not here to tell you how to live your life, I’m here to show you innovative ways to dress & to give you a couple tips!
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this post! It has been both a blessing & an honor to be your destination for fashion advice over the years. Let the good times roll!
I have linked the exact skirt, socks, & shoes below! Tee is a similar style.
